What should I wear to the shoot?
Answer: It's important to wear something that you feel comfortable and confident in, but also something that is appropriate for the type of shoot you’re doing. If it's a formal portrait, you may want to dress up more, while if it's a casual family session, you may want to wear something more casual. Avoid wearing anything with large logos or graphics.
What kind of poses should I expect to do during the shoot?
Answer: The poses will depend on the type of shoot you’re doing, as well as your preferences. I will guide you through various poses, but it's important to remember that it's okay to feel a little awkward at first. I have been on the other side of the camera and completely understand how awkward and unnatural it can feel. You don’t have to worry about being embarrassed in front of me - this is a safe space. If you’d like, I’ll even walk you through them myself and we can do them together if it helps you feel more comfortable.
How long will the photo shoot last?
Answer: The length of the shoot will vary depending on the type of shoot, the number of people being photographed, and the location(s). Generally, a portrait session can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours, while a wedding or event can last 8hrs or more.
Can I bring props or accessories to the shoot?
Answer: Absolutely! If you have any props or accessories that you would like to incorporate into your shoot, just let me know ahead of time so I can plan accordingly. Props can add a fun and personal touch to the photos and help to tell a story.
How soon after the shoot will I receive my photos?
Answer: Typically, it takes me an average of 2 weeks to deliver a fully edited gallery. Though, it will depend on the type of shoot you had done (e.g. a wedding or engagement session would take longer to edit than a standard portrait or headshot session). After our shoot, I will provide you with a timeline for when you can expect to receive your gallery.
